The Songs in Me

The Songs in Me exhibition features works by Nazan Azeri, who has been an independent female artist for over 30 years, in different genres such as painting, photography, video, and ceramics. Curated by Nergis Abıyeva, the exhibition addresses affinities in terms of subject integrity and color iconography, while also drawing attention to the strong ties between Nazan Azeri’s academic studies and her art practice. The “Songs in Me” exhibition, which also includes works that will meet the audience for the first time, makes visible the relationships between Azeri’s “Forgotten Time and Now” series, which she started in Ayvalık in the summer of 2001 and has continued in various forms to the present, and her previous works.
